Thanks for all the kind messages for my Dad and Thanks John for being such a wonderful friend in remembering My Dad. I am a teacher and coach following his footsteps. My Dad was my athletic director and principal for my first two years of teaching. He set me on my path before he moved on. His grandson Cameron Michael is playing basketball for University of Northern Colorado. He looks like "Big Chris" see keep an eye out! He lives on!!!

Chris died in January 1998 with his loving wife of 29 years, Sherry, along with his two sons, Matt and Chris (Twins) and two daughters Pam and Lori at his side.  Many friends were also with him at his death. He fought the good fight as cancer spread throughout his body.

Chris loved the Western states and was a Teacher and High School Principal during his working career.  He also owned his own newspaper reporting prep events around the state in his spare time.    He coached college football at Chadron University in Chadron, Nebraska as well as coaching High School football at Lyman, Ne, Winner S.D, and Center, Colorado.  Chris was a High School Principal in Morrill, Ne and Academy Charter High School in Denver Colorado at the time of his death.  He left behind 5 Grandchildren and many friends

John, Thanks for the update on Chris, I knew he passed some time ago and to me it was so sad, pray for an eventual cure for cancer.  He sure sounds like he lived full life while he was here, he is in a better place now. Love you Chris.  Thanks John (quick PS, my husband remembers Chris well, while playing against Saegertown he took a few elbows to the head when Chris was coming down with a rebound.)

We all remember "tall Chris".  He would have been 52 at time of passing.  Waaaaaaaaay too young..!  So sad for his family.  The only plus side is that he had a meaningful and full life being an influence over young people.  What a great endeavor to have a positive influence over students.  Rest in peace Chris.    Gary Mook

RIP, "Big Mike!"Reading Sandy's comments reminded me of the time he went up for a rebound and hit his head on the back board...

Everybody loved "Big Mike" , especially you, John.

The six foot four star center of the Panthers Basketball team and all around good guy.

I remember the night the gang was in Hunter's pool hall and just before we left for a quick trip to Andover, Mike stuck a cigar butt through a hole in the cieling that sombody had poked there with a cue stick. (He was the only one who could reach that high).

Headline news in the next days Tribune. " Fire in downtown Meadville destroys building."  Yeah, those were good times.
